Welcome Dr. Day!

Dr. Day graduated from Louisiana State University in 2018 and has recently moved from Baton Rouge with his beagle, Kyle, to join our team. Over the next few weeks, you will see Dr. Day around the hospital and in your pets’ appointments, as he is getting settled in under the mentorship of Dr. Chmaitelli.

At GOVC your pet receives exceptional care from an entire team of dedicated professionals, and we are very excited to welcome Dr. Day to this collaborative team. With two qualified, full-time vets now at our clinic, you can look forward to easier scheduling, more time for patient appointments and more belly rubs and ear scratches for your animal pals!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Brandon Day the next time you’re at our clinic, and stay tuned for details on an upcoming meet and greet event to celebrate with us. In the meantime, check out Dr. Day’s full bio below!

Associate Veterinarian

Education: Louisiana State University, Class of 2018
Hometown: New Orleans, LA
Pets: Kyle (Beagle) & Louie (Shitzu Mix)

Dr. Brandon Day, a NOLA native, has traveled to Texas in pursuit of following his childhood dream of caring for animals. He grew up in a household filled with joy, laughter, and drool that only German Shepherds are known to bring. His commitment to fostering healthy human-animal bonds paved the way for him to become a veterinarian. He graduated from Louisiana State University with Bachelor’s in Animal Science and went on to obtain his Associate’s in Veterinary Technology. After strengthening his skillsets as a Veterinary Technician, Dr. Day was later accepted into the LSU College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with his Doctorate’s in 2018.

In June 2019, Dr. Day made the move to Houston from Baton Rouge to join our team at Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic. He is excited to work under the mentorship of Dr. Chmaitelli and looks forward to building relationships with our clients and patients in this new journey.

Outside of being a veterinarian and pet lover, Dr. Day enjoys spending time on the basketball court, and sports are usually the topic of most conversations (he will always be a Pelicans and Saints fan, no matter the distance!). He loves to travel and values health and fitness.
